All thou, I told you my background in starting this blog and becoming an author. I have many other things I do when I do not have inspiration to write.
The first hobby is knitting and crocheting I took this up freshmen year of high school. I did it because i wanted to learn and it help me relieve stress. I have made blankets, stuff animals, dishcloths, hats, scarves, booties, bag and so much more. My mom, sister and I even started an esty business. If you want to check it out I will add the link at the end of the blog.
I also enjoy being around younger children. I did the preschool class at my high school were once a week with other fellow students I got to teach the preschoolers a lesson. I really enjoy the class and the class showed me that teaching would be a great career for me too.
The only "job" I have had and still do is babysit. I have been babysitting since I was in middle school. So about six years. I have watched many ages from toddlers to ten year old. I enjoy children they seem to have an imagination and it allows me to be a child again too.
I enjoy doing all these things and hope that blogging will be added too.
What is your hobby? or have a question about mine?

How about posting some blogs about what you've learned from the kids you babysit, or funny things they say that inspire you to write?

I love the suggestion about writing about things you've experienced and learned while babysitting. You might also want to categorize your entries so that your posts on your writing is separate from the miscellaneous entries. Maybe. Or not.
ReplyDeleteMy hobbies are reading (mostly mysteries), watching television (lots of British shows), music (anything but yee-haw country and screamo), and cuddling with my critters (I love animals).
fun! and thanks for the idea. What British TV shows I watch Doctor who(mainly the new who. But I have watched the classics. my favorate doctor is the fourth/fifth and for new has to be eleven! I LOVE Matt!!!!!!!) and star trek the next generation
ReplyDeleteHi Kaitlyn. Many years ago I also used to babysit a lot. I went to school to become a teacher but ended up a children’s librarian instead. Go figure. My hobbies are watching Glee, hanging with my family, traveling and now, writing. I look forward to reading more about you.
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool that we have the babysitting and going to school for teaching the same. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love Matt too! He's my favorite! Of should I spell that favourite in this context? I love Doc Martin, New Tricks, Coupling (quite racy!), Black Books, to name only the first few to come to mind. I love BBC programming so much I bought a region free DVD player to purchase shows from AmazonUK. I might have a problem.
ReplyDeleteI have bought Doctor who seasons. I may have a problem too. But that is just who I am.
